Closure to a marriage

When Sam’s marriage came to an end, she lost touch with her husband, Ian, for a year when he became deliberately awkward and difficult to reach. To get closure, she needed to sort out the divorce papers but only had his email address and he never responded to her.

She’d been told by well meaning friends that if he `didn’t sign the divorce papers’ she simply wouldn’t be able to get her divorce sorted.

Family Law Assistance was able to advise her of a way around this problem and helped her draft up the necessary paperwork.

She was shocked and delighted when we told her it was possible to progress matters even if there was no way to locate her husband.

Not only was Sam able to move on with her life, it also meant Ian could get on with his too.

All it took was a meeting booked to Ask Us Anything.
